The Urban Book Club, also known as Urbanesque or UBC, is a family of intermittent writers and readers alike who come together from all parts of the world, backgrounds, religions, cultures, etc. to read, write, and just... be. Originally, The Urban Book Club was supposed to be something of a "help group" such as a study group or a tutor spot, but it became so much more than that. People began to evolve into something more personal.

After several "do-overs", and hundreds of people coming and going, it showed us that the urban community is family no matter how old, young, color, or past. They will forever be united even if they aren't united physically. The Urban Book Club is the epitome of that.
